<p>Using five years of baht gold data, a disciplined monthly plan captured the great majority of the return available to a perfectly timed dip-buyer — without requiring anyone to sit on idle cash or make a call.</p><p>The dip-buying strategy did slightly better in one of the five years and worse in three. Its main cost was the stretches where the dip never came and the cash earned nothing.</p><p><em>Backtests use historical data and do not predict future results.</em></p>
